Jeera Rice

Fixings:

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1½ cups basmati rice, drenched for 30 minutes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 tablespoon cleaved coriander leaves

Strategy:

  • Warmth 3 cups (0.71 l) water in a non-stick container.
  • Include salt and rice, blend, spread and cook on medium warmth till rice is half cooked.
  • Strain the overabundance water and spread rice equally onto a plate.
  • Warmth ghee in a non-stick dish.
  • Include cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant.
  • Include cooked rice and sprinkle coriander leaves and throw to blend.
  • Add salt and sprinkle some water, throw to blend, spread and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Serve hot embellished with a coriander twig.
