Potato Rice


Fixings: 

  • Potatoes stripped ½ kg little 
  • Yellow food shading 1/4 tsp 
  • Cooking oil 2-3 tbs 
  • Salt 1 squeeze 
  • Yogurt whisked 1 Cup 
  • Red bean stew powder ½ tbs or to taste 
  • Knorr chicken powder 1 sachet (10 gms) 
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp 
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp 
  • Coriander powder 1 tbs 
  • Salt 1 tsp or to taste 
  • Nutmeg and Mace powder 1/4 tsp 
  • Lemon juice 2 tbs 
  • Ginger garlic glue ½ tbs 
  • Green chilies squashed 2 tbs 
  • Onion singed ½ Cup 
  • Cooking oil 1/4 Cup 
  • Mint leaves cleaved ½ Cup 
  • Fresh coriander cleaved ½ Cup 
  • Onion singed ½ Cup 
  • Rice basmati ½ kg (bubbled until 3/fourth done) 
  • Ghee 1 and ½ tbs 
  • Water 1-2 tbs 
  • Yellow food shading ½ tsp or as required 
  • Onion seared 

Bearings: 

  • In bowl,add potatoes,yellow food color,mix well and put in a safe spot. 
  • In wok,add cooking oil,potatoes,sprinkle salt and fry until brilliant earthy colored (12-15 minutes) and put in a safe spot. 
  • In bowl,add yogurt,red stew powder,chicken powder,garam masala powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,salt,nutmeg and mace powder,lemon juice,ginger garlic paste,green chili,fried onion,mix well and put in a safe spot. 
  • In pot,add cooking oil,spiced yogurt and blend well. 
  • Include seared potatoes,mint leaves,fresh coriander,fried onion,boiled rice,chicken powder and ghee. 
  • In water,add yellow food shading. 
  • Include break up food color,fried onion,cover and steam cook for 10-15 minutes and serve.
